Spread across steep hillsides that overlook the Rio Tejo, Lisbon offers all the delights you’d expect of Portugal’s largest city, yet with half the fuss of other European capitals. Gothic cathedrals, majestic monasteries and quaint museums are all part of the colourful cityscape, but the real delights of discovery lie in some hidden venues in the narrow lanes of Lisbon’s lovely backstreets.
One of Europe’s most soulful, captivating and picturesque capitals, the city is built on a series of hills with scenic vistas from every angle it offers a stunning surrounding of mountain and beaches to enjoy a variety of team building activities through culture, scenery and gastronomy. The city also boasts a vast array of luxury hotels, all within easy access of the many restaurants, bars and venues. Lisbon really is one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in Europe.
DAY 1
HOTEL & ARRIVAL
Set in the city centre, this hotel combines elegance and modernity with views over the 18th Century Aqueduct and the Monsanto Natural Park. Situated 3.5km from the historical downtown yet only a 10 minute drive from Lisbon International Airport, this is the ideal base from which to experience this contemporary European capital. After arrivals and check in, guests will enjoy a welcome dinner in the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel restaurant. During the spring and summer months, guests can make the most of the weather and dine in the relaxing restaurant terrace garden.
DAY 2
JEEP SAFARI IN THE SINTRA HILLS
After breakfast at leisure, guests will partake in a Jeep Safari amongst the beautiful scenery around the Sintra hills with the buzz of being off-road in 4×4 jeeps. They are tough, rugged and built to overcome almost any obstacle which will ensure a fun afternoon of off-roading. This activity is appealing for each individual as you have control of the vehicle and route to ensure both men and women feel safe and have a thrilling experience. The National park is a UNESCO World Heritage site due to its outstanding natural beauty.
LUNCH ON THE WATERFRONT
Located in the Caiscais region, this restaurant occupies an enviable position right on the waterfront of the Atlantic coastline in the heart of the ruggedly beautiful area that is Guincho beach.
DINNER AND DANCING
This former warehouse was transformed into one of the most sophisticated restaurants in Lisbon. It serves a menu of international dishes in an industrial/ loft style space with exposed brickwork and iron girders. Upon arrival, a welcome drink will be served before guests enjoy a 3 course menu with wines. Adjoining to the restaurant is a bar and disco which is open at weekends, and which guests will have access to following dinner.
DAY 3
DAWN BALLOON FLIGHT
Guests will have an early start from the hotel to experience the breathtaking thrill of a sunrise balloon flight. Breakfast boxes will be enjoyed on board the coach transfers to the balloon take-off site located outside the city. The balloon flight will take around an hour and a half allowing guests to take in the magnificent scenery this destination has to offer.
VINEYARD VISIT AND WINE TASTING LUNCH
After the balloon flight, guests will be transferred by a private coach to a stunning vineyard. To begin, a sommelier will give a background into the vineyard and the wine making process. You will enjoy a selection of white wines overlooking the view over the vineyards, followed by tasting of the red wines in the ancient cellars, accompanied by local specialities.
DINNER WITH A VIEW
Located at Guincho, near the Água Doce beach and adjacent to the Cresmin Fort, this restaurant is a privileged location for offsite dinners. Dinner will be taken on the 1st floor, with its terrace and panoramic ocean view.
DAY 4
BREAKFAST AND DEPARTURES
After a leisurely breakfast, guest swill be collected by private coach transfers back to Lisbon International Airport for the return flight back to their respective destinations.
